SDG, ACTIONS
COME IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES.
The Centre for Sustainable Futures (CFSF) is designed as a not-for-profit network of regionally focused sustainability micro-hubs across India. Each centre will function as a localized environmental think tank, specifically addressing the distinct ecological and developmental needs of its region. Whether it’s a Himalayan centre dedicated to mountain ecosystems, a Goa hub focused on preserving the Western Ghats, or an urban centre working to combat air, water pollution and waste management in large metropolitan areas, each will have its own targeted approach.
CFSF programs combine strategic collaborations, and programs that, bring together local environmental leaders, NGOs, social foundations, community groups, and other stakeholders. These groups work collectively on vital areas such as regional biodiversity conservation, forest restoration, the protection of native species, and the advancement of sustainable agricultural methods.
Unlike entrepreneurship-focused innovation initiatives, CFSF’s core mission is to establish centers that promote local collaborative research, evidence-based policy-making, and community-driven solutions aimed at fostering environmental resilience and creating lasting social impact.
A whitepaper on the operational framework has been developed to guide the CFSF implementation. The same shall be shared upon request.

What We Do.
We bring together, friends of the earth, offering them dedicated innovation labs, meeting spaces, exhibition areas, product demo areas, workspaces, living spaces, events and conference spaces, community spaces, and facilities for executive education programs and skill development courses.
Through strategic collaborations, our, spaces and programs serve as a nexus that engage individuals, industry leaders, environmentalists, NGO’s, social foundations, local community groups, academia and other stakeholders working in areas such as regional biodiversity conservation, forest restoration, protection of native plant and animal species, the advancement of innovative agricultural methods and the promotion of a circular economy and net-zero living principles.
The Centre for Sustainable Futures (CFSF) also features a makerspace program, offering entrepreneurs, startups, and students the chance to leverage our facilities and labs for testing new innovations and constructing prototypes. These spaces not only provide a testing ground but also serve as a demonstration center for pioneering ideas and ventures focused on generating a positive environmental impact.
The integration of diverse perspectives ensures a comprehensive approach to tackling sustainability challenges. We firmly believe that by uniting individuals, organizations, and businesses, we can collectively achieve a more significant impact toward our goals.
With each CFSF, we are trying to accomplish the below;
- Develop a deeper understanding of the local environmental and ecological issues (within a State) and formulate unique strategies to prompt action.
- Equip changemakers aspiring for social and environmental impact with the necessary tools.
- Create a flourishing local community of environmental advocates and conservationists to enable the exchange of best practices.
- Demo Centre for products and services in the areas of circular economy, carbon neutrality, and Sustainable Development.
- Encourage entrepreneurial efforts aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
